The Itasca Knights of Columbus, Itasca Lions Club and Itasca Runners present the Second Annual Itasca OktoberFast 5k Run/Walk to benefit Marklund Children's Charities on Saturday, October 2.


The course is a fast, scenic neighborhood route through Itasca, with a downhill finish into Usher Park, featuring:

  • USATF certified course # IL09093JW
  • Awards for top 3 men and women finishers and in age group categories
  • T-shirts for all participants
  • Post race party - including: live music, beer and brats!
  • New this year: Early packet pick-up at Dick Pond Athletics in Schaumburg on Thurs Sept 30 and Friday Oct 1.

Date: Saturday, October 2
Time: Race begins at 9am
Location: Usher Park, in downtown Itasca
at Irving Park Road and Walnut St
Entry Fee: $25 for pre-registration, $30 on race day.
$3 discount for CARA members

7-8:30am: Race day registration and packet pick-up
9am: 5k Run/Walk begins.
10am: Awards and post-race party
